Frontier Airlines has canceled dozens of flights Monday and Tuesday after grounding more than 100 flights last week when 18 of the carrier's planes were damaged during a hail storm.
In a statement on its website Monday morning, the airline said that five of its planes had been repaired and returned to flying, but the remaining 13 aircraft are still being repaired.
Frontier has chartered flights through other carriers, including North American, Miami Air and Sun Country. Passengers whose flights have not been rescheduled on a charter flight must rebook their travel by midnight on July 19. The airline has e-mailed cancellation notices to fliers who provided their addresses during the booking process.
A call from msnbc.com was not immediately returned by the airline.
Large pieces of hail fell for about 15 minutes at the Denver International Airport on Wednesday night, damaging 40 planes. NBC's Brian Williams reports.
